You can apply if you:

• Are in Year 10 at an Australian government school when you apply.
• Will start Year 11 in the first year of the three-year scholarship.
• Intend to study full-time or part-time at a university, college or registered training organisation in the first year after you finish high school.
• Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Your principal or a senior teacher must nominate you. Please read the program Terms and Conditions before applying. 

If you receive a scholarship, you can access up to $7,000 over three years for eligible education expenses. These may include course fees, learning resources, equipment and technology. The scholarship expenses guidelines explain what’s covered.

You’ll also have mentoring support throughout the three-year program and have access to workshops and career development opportunities.

Ask your principal or a senior teacher to nominate you for the Accelerate scholarship. Once your school submits the nomination, you’ll receive a link to complete your application online. Your school will then submit a reference. After both parts are received, an assessment panel will review your application.

An assessment panel reviews completed applications. It considers your commitment to education, willingness to work with a mentor, potential for future success, personal circumstances and any leadership, community or extracurricular activities.

Yes. Tell us about any scholarships or other financial assistance you currently receive when you apply. The assessment panel may consider this as part of your application.
